Lee Dianiel’s Precious is a vibrant, honest and resoundingly hopeful film about the human capacity to grow and overcome. Rooted in realities of 1987 movie is a story about Claireece Precious Jones (Gabourney Sidibe), a lonely sixteen-year-old African-American girl, abused by her father and tormented by he cruel mother (Mo’Nique). Beneath her impassive expression is a watchful, curious young woman with inchoate but unshakeable sense that other possibilities exist for her. Threatened with expulsion, Precious is offered the chance to transfer to an alternative school, Each One/Tech One. It is in that school, with help of sincere people, where Precious begins a journey that will lead her from darkness pain and powerlessness to light, love and self-determination. Precious is Oscar Winner in two categories: the Best Actress and The Best Screenplay, Golden Globe Winner in category Best Actress, and Sundace Festival Winner (three prizes including Grand Prix and Publicity Prize).

Director and producer. He began his career by managing actors such as Loretta Divine, Natasha Kinsky and Aishwaraya Rai. His directorial debut was Shadowboxer released in 2006, a bold heart –wrenching tale of two assassins nominated for the New Directors Award at the 2006 San Sebastian Film Festival.
