Anna Maria Goławska (born in 1974) – Studied Polish Philology at the UMCS (Maria Curie-Skłodowska University) in Lublin. Author of poetry volumes “Sumienna rzeźniczka” [The Conscientious Butcheress] (2003) and “Postępująca personifikacja” [Progressive Presonification] (2007) and travel-essay books “Toskania i okolice. Przewodnik subiektywny” [Tuscany And the Vicinity. A Subjective Guidebook] (2006, 2007), “Toskania, Umbria i okolice. Przewodnik subiektywny” [Tuscany, Umbria and the Vicinity. A Subjective Guidebook] (2009), “Włochy. Podróż na południe” [Italy. A Journey South] (2010).
„Akcent” – literary-artistic quarterly magazine, published since 1980 in Lublin. The main topic of the magazine are culture processes which take place on the border between cultures and nationalities. It published the first translations of “The painted Bird” by Kosiński, “Satanic Verses” by Rushdie, and Singer’s stories. It also published works of the “singing poets” – Młynarski, Brassens, Brel, Okudzhava, Wysocki. In 2010 the magazine celebrated the 30th anniversary of its existance.”
