Bohdan Zadura – Poet, prose writer, translator and literary critic. Many years’ editor of the “Akcent”quarterly magazine, currently editor-in-chief of the “Twórczość” magazine. Works with  the “Literatura na Świecie” magazine, publishes in most of the Polish literary and culture magazines. Author of translations from English and Ukrainian. Awarded with the Stanisław Piętak Prize. He was born and lives in Puławy. In 2010 awarded with the title of the Honorary Citizen of Puławy City.

„Akcent” – literary-artistic quarterly magazine, published since 1980 in Lublin. The main topic of the magazine are culture processes which take place on the border between cultures and nationalities. It published the first translations of “The painted Bird” by Kosiński, “Satanic Verses” by Rushdie, and Singer’s stories. It also published works of the “singing poets” – Młynarski, Brassens, Brel, Okudzhava, Wysocki. In 2010 the magazine celebrated the 30th anniversary of its existance.”
