Surrealistic educative documentary film describes the most important moments of our post-war history followed by a film test examining your knowledge. The most famous Czech politic prison Milada Horáková hangs, hero Jan Palach burns and dissident Václav Havel with his wife Olga serve tea to state policemen. Documentary film works with authentic historic sentences which are performed as surrealistic evens of our history memory. Amalgam of „documentary true“ and „feature reality“ reflects problem of impossible true interpretation history which is know only as mix of different legends and views. DIRECTOR | Jaroslav Kratochvíl
He is a student of Documentary Film Department in Film and TV Faculty of Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) in Prague. In his auteur films he is mainly interested in current political scene and he deals with the relation between “big” political ideas and “small” personal stories behind it (films: General, In Vino Veritas). He directed one episode of Daughters of Enemy (TV documentary serie) and he cooperates with Czech Television. Now he works on his feature auteur documentary film about blood sports and hunting.
