A wealthy and talented composer Eliseo had seen something terrible as a child: a rape and murder on his own sister committed on the top of the piano. As a pianist, that he had fallen in love with, dies while performing his own “Macabre Rhapsody”, the old trauma returns. The composer sinks into madness and disappears. Some time later an average music student accidentally finds fragments of a missing rhapsody written by the unbalanced composer and publishes them as his own work. In the Larraíns feature debut one can notice some influence of experiences with advertisement films. Fuga has an intriguing composition. Full of absurd and crazy episodes story is a mix of love, music, madness and hatred showing an obscure and irrational inner world of Eliseo.
