A multigenerational family arrives into mountains to spent Christmas in a small house. A Polish husband of one of the daughters participates in the trip (Zamachowski). As soon as they arrive at the place atmosphere becomes intolerable. Long-hidden secrets come to light. Cabin Fever is the first Norwegian film made according to Dogma postulates. Pictures are shot under natural light, without any special effects. Mona Hoel confronts a degraded morality of a Norwegian family with a traditional ethos of the Poles, and a black humor and irony lead to a dramatic ending.
