12 year old Selma survived the death of her mother. While staying under care of her aunt the girl can clearly see how troublesome men are. Thus she decides to never fall in love. Selma is convinced, that it wouldn’t be good for her. Nevertheless it turns about, that it won’t be that easy at all, especially when the other half is so close. Romantic comedy with elements of a black humor. The plot takes place in a picturesque Norwegian village. The story takes us into the middle of sophisticated male-female relationships showing girls first love, where, as in a mirror, universal problems reflect.
