Brasilian director Andrucha Waddington, the author of acclaimed “Me, You, Them” returns on the screens with a story full of adventures from life of one of the greatest poets and playwrights of the Golden Age – Lope de Vega. Gifted young writer returns to Madrid from the war filled with ambition, eager to live, to write, to make his dreams a reality… Penniless, he is forced to work as a humble copyist. De Vega was a very colorful character: soldier, artist, priest, husband and unmatched lover, irresistible for woman as nobody else. Lope, Spanish Brazilian superproduction with star cast (Luis Tosar, Leonor Watling, Antonio de la Torre) is a story about an adventurous youth of the writer: his first romances, problems with law, court intrigues, and the beginnings of a great artistic career.

A Brazilian film director, producer and screenwriter. He has directed eleven films since 1998. His feature film “Me, You, Them” won the Un Certain Regard Award at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival and received 20 other awards. He works on many TV projects (among them TV series Retrato Celular) and documentary movies.
