Passione is something between a classic documentary and a feature consisting of musical impressions, that add an unique charm and rhythm to the film. Narration is lead by picturesque scenes, in which representatives of Neapolitan music world appear one after another. Tempo is given by particular sounds, melodies and words. That is how, step by step, a portrait of Naples emerges – a city with a wonderful, unforgettable atmosphere. “Naples is a city painted with sounds. And the music is one of its most important elements” – says John Torturro, a famous American- Italian actor. In his film Torturro also acts as a narrator trying to present a musical soul of his beloved town.
