The recording of Schumann’s piano cycles made in the Łódź Philharmonic. The film’s director, Bruno Monsaingeon, is well-known for his films about famous musicians, for example Glenn Gould and Sviatoslav Richter. This time a Polish pianist records works of one of his favourite composers. Anderszewski notes that working on the registration of Schumann’s works was a pleasure for him, because he could share his passion with the audience. Pianist and director worked together on the award-winning recording of “Diabelli Variations” by Beethoven.
