Jan Komasa, one of the most talented directors of young generation, has made a movie where virtual world of avatars is as important as actor’s acting. For more than one year a group of digital animation specialists have been designing an animated second life of the movie’s main hero. Suicide room is a dark and perfectly acted story about depression, lack of acceptation and disability to handle with one’s own “I”. At the same time it is an interesting attempt to measure against a strictly present-day subject which is Emo subculture. The movies main hero is Dominik, an “ordinary” boy on a threshold of adulthood. He has got many friends, a beautiful girlfriend, loving and wealthy parents. Nonetheless he’s life changes when in virtual world Dominik meet’s a mysterious and dangerous Sylwia. The girl introduces him in a Suicide Room – a place one can’t escape. Dominik, trapped in his own feelings and entangled in deadly intrigue, may loose something most precious in life…
