The Book of Kells is an authentic manuscript of Celtic monks from turn of the eighth and ninth centuries, one of the most precious relicts of the Irish medieval art. Kells is a name of an abbey located in Meath county in Ireland. In Kelles lives Brendan, a helpful and benevolent twenty year old boy. He helps monks in keeping the abbey, not knowing the outside world. When brother Aidan arrives to the abbey, he discovers, that Brendan has a talent and good heart necessary to help him finishing the great book. In order to do it, Brendan will have to face many dangers and go through his own initiation.   Visually The Secret of Kells is fascinating: magical atmosphere combined with simplified line and intelligent deformation inspired by art of medieval illumination and ornamentation.
