In course of the investigation Rogas discovers, that the victims were participating in trial that lead to prosecution of three innocent people. In course of the investigation inspector will discover, that this case may be much more sophisticated than he suspected. Illustrious Corpses raises issues characteristic for Sciascia’s novels: corruption of authorities, connections between Mafia and politics, a hero trying to solve a complicated and meaningful puzzle.  In his screening Francesco Rossi tries to show the realities of the 70. in Italy, and doesn’t avoid a deeper reflection on these days social reality.
