The exhibition is an attempt to synthesise the common fate of the Jewish communities in Kazimierz Dolny and Drohobycz. Sholem Asch, a eulogist of Kazmierz Dolny’s charm, managed to avoid doom. The one who made Drohobycz known to the world, however, shared the tragic lot of his nation. The work of Schulz and simultaneously his town are now becoming increasingly popular thanks to numerous translations and the cyclical Bruno Schulz Festival. On the other hand, the Jewish world of Kazimierz Dolny falls further and further into oblivion.
