All of the most important buildings of Kazimierz of the Renaissance period were either erected by Italian constructors or built according to Italian templates. The forms introduced by the Italians in those times were domesticated by the Vistula so well that they are considered genuinely native to Kazimierz. The most famous constructors are Jakub Balin and Santi Gucci, and their work has become an icon of Kazumierz’s space.
