A twenty-year-old Anna is a beautiful, wise and sensitive girl. To deal with traumatic experiences from her family home, Anna decides to search for a refugee in a monastery. At first it seems, that she calms herself down. However, bad memories return suddenly as nightmares. The superior of the monastery, who has some strange feelings for her, claims, that Anna has been possessed by Satan, and promises to help her referring to her unusual contacts with the Blessed Virgin.

DIRECTOR | Barbara Sass (1936)
Film and theater director, screenplay writer. Graduated from Film School in Łódź. At first she worked as a second unit director with Andrzej Wajda, Wojciech Has and Jerzy Skolimowski. Since 1979 Barbara Sass became independent director of feature films. She directed 11 films, all based on her own scripts. Among her most important films are Screem (awards in Gdynia an d Sceaux – Paris), Paradise Apple-Tree (audience award Montreal), Temptation (awards in Gdynia, Karlove Vary and Locarno). Director of Television Theater. Since 1990 Barbara Sass has also been working as theater director, and made about thirty spectacles. Participant of author’s reviews in Germany, Montreal, Russia and San Francisco, as well as major international film festivals in Chicago, Los Angeles, Moscow, Denver and others. Lecturer in Film School Łódź; the Ministry of Culture in Italy and Barbara Piasecka Johnson Foundation scholarships holder.
